The best way to learn about a new hobby is from somebody who’s both experienced and passionate. They’re a voice that guides you through the process and shows you what it really is. Most importantly, they present the hobby in an approachable, realistic manner.
No technical overloads.
No unrealistic expectations.
No pressure to perfect.
These aren’t professionals who do it all day everyday — they’re hobbyists. They have 9-to-5s to work, children to care for, classes to attend.

Our goal is to build a comprehensive hobbies resource.
Information on hobbies is the most scattered information there is. Just think about the times when somebody mentions their hobby and you’re like what?! That exists??
We want to give hobbies a home. A single, reliable place for hobbies of all types to have their stories told and presented for you to browse.
To achieve this goal, we ask and answer the questions around the what and why for each hobby. Then craft it into original content that introduces each one.
It’s a long journey to document the many, many hobbies out there but we’re committed to it. We hope you join and support us on this quest.

There’s no mega corporation, no investors, no team.
Not Just a Hobby started as my own hobby to meet and capture people with cool hobbies. I then realized that this project could become a resource to tackle a big question people have:
Where can I find a hobby?
At this point, from filming to writing this, it’s just me. Each part is done with care because every hobby and [space] deserves it.
