Terrarium Starter Kit
Try your hand at the terrarium hobby with this Terrarium Starter Kit we’ve craft with our friend Charly at TerrartNYC.
This kit includes everything you’ll need to make your own terrarium. Everything from the soil to plants to decorations.

We worked together with TerrartNYC — a family-owned terrarium company with a long history going back to Venezuela — to craft this kit. Our goal, like everything we do at Not Just a Hobby, is to make it as simple as possible to try out the hobby. Below, you’ll find additional videos we’ve created to help you get started. At the end, you’ll have your very own terrarium.

60g Leca Expanded Clay Pebbles
30g Charcoal Activated - Organic Charcoal
100g Substrate - Loam
15g Moss - Dicranum scoparium &/or Hypnum lindbergii
(2) 2.5-in Fittonias Red, Pink or White
Décor (All materials below)
15gr Red basaltic Rocks
75gr White silica Sand
37gr Gray pebbles
37gr Yellow pebbles
35gr White Granite rock
50gr Lava Rocks
(1) Tiny house
Tools
(1) Straw — to place the sand and pebbles.
(1) Scissor — to trim roots and unhealthy leaves.
(1) Tweezers — to place materials, plants and moss.
(1) Shovel and cork — to accommodate substrate.
